That road hasn't been touched by construction for at least the 10 years I've driven over it. Probably not for 40 or 50 years though because it was just as bad 10 years ago.
Your least favorite stretches of road?

Back when I used to live in CA and run the five corridor. Nothing worse than being put on some load going from SoCal all the way up to some place in WA. 55 all the way with some pretty rutted out spots in between.

Road I don't like US89 in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. The Utah portion is too much of a tourist road for a truck and the Northern AZ portion has absolutely terrible road conditions. I've driven it once and probably, hopefully, won't drive it again. I stay on I-15 to Vegas and US93 and US60 into Phoenix. Adds about 70 miles and is basically as fast. But, a much more reasonable road for a truck the US89!JC1971 Thanks this. -
75/24 split in Chattanooga, 153/75 split, and the 24/27 north split...

I'm basically a West coast reefer jockey. I sometimes go East to like Ohio, but seldom.
Anyway, has anyone else noticed that most of the unpopular roads being mentioned and in the East?
There's a reason I like to stay in the West. You do have to contend with alot steeper and longer grades and twisty roads. Once you get used to it, really isn't an issue. But, the scenery is usually beautiful to drive through and the runs are typically longer with fewer urban areas to contend with.
Anyway, just my obeservation and opinion, ymmv!Watchman63 Thanks this. -
Anything heading out of the NE or So cal. You’ll use an entire shift of hours just to get out of those areas nine times out of 10.
