i am going thru that VERY painful experience now, for the past week or so.

    i think it's my sciatica.........

i'm fine once i walk around, either at the track or around the house.

Could it be spinal stenosis? When was your last back x-ray or MRI?

after my last operation in 2017?

in typical fashion, the insurance company denied any more such things.

i'm thinking, that i could have slept in a position that caused this, or did something around the house?

had it happen before, took some Aleve, no problems for a long, long time.

I’m pretty sure I got the plantar fasciitis trying to set in.

    @D.Tibbitt

I just saw this section, cause well the last year has been crazy for me. where ever you go I wish you well.

I know where you're coming from and I've been there. I only started doing what I am doing to put some excitement back into it. But I also have a new wife and while she wants to hit the road too. I will quit for her if it comes down to it.

I enjoyed your take on things over the years. Best of luck and I hope your new adventure finds you well.

I have that. Holy smokes it’s brutal. I have a buddy that’s a physical therapist and he busted up the scar tissue (hurt like you wouldn’t believe). Some decent orthotics in all my shoes and work boots are a must now. They work pretty good.

that’s the only way I’ve been able to manage it.

Sciatica can be very uncomfortable to say the least. I have experienced the ache or pain several times, still do.
Using the cruise control when I can gives me some temporary relief. Also, I do stretching exercise's before I go to sleep when it is really stiff and sore.
I straighten my right leg out as far as I can and then turn my neck till I can't take no more pain and hold it there till I count to 50. Stretching the sciatic nerve will relieve some of the discomfort at least for me.
I try to remain totally relaxed when I'm driving, not always so easy for me to do. Sometimes, my body is tense, really for no reason. Maybe the position I've been sitting in the seat. I also drive with my seat all the way back as I find this helps me also.
Not sure I'm making any sense here but I know what you are experiencing. Maybe, some body has better answers than I. Hope so. I'm watching and listening

oh god, i had that more than once. i cannot recall how it starts, but man, it would hurt like the dickens.

i find that my morning walks help, not only to stave off that condition, but my back pain(s) as well

    see below response

the pain is subsiding now, i have been taking generic Aleve. i find too that when i walk like 1/4 to 1/2 mile each day at the track, it subsides quite a bit as well.

i do have scoliosis of the spine as well, that was discovered some time ago. but not much can be done about that.

    tough to get old...

but i had a great day at the range today, obliterated a target with my Rock Island 1911....lol....pain..??? what pain....????

i'll post a pic in my gun thread.
