Jeez! I looked a couple surge jobs before settling on this rig. I wish you could put whatever engine you wanted in “your” truck without having to buy a glider. There are a bunch of farmers suing John Deere of the software holding them hostage for repairs and prices. So far nothing really on our side of things. It’s a flip of the coin every time for us to weather we have a good one or bad one and we are the ones keeping this country going. Ridiculous! I wish we could pay a yearly tax to run what we want.

Update: they hooked up to my truck and changed something with the parameters. Only took a few minutes and truck is idling great!! Very happy with the delete so far. They removed the DPF filters and drilled it out for better flow. The engine brake and turbo whistle are noticeably louder. Truck has a lot more torque off the bottom end. Fuel mileage remained the same. Cost was approximately $3,300. Money well spent.

Check the sensor harness very carefully for an abrasion, or chaffed wire... if you get just a little corrosion on one of the sensor harness wires you will run into a problem like you're describing...

I’ve never heard of a successful delete on a modern Detroit. Anyone I know of blew up within 8 months.
If the program for the delete is over fueling the cylinder you could be getting too high exhaust temperatures causing the warping. Also over fueling can cause cold spots on the cylinder liners and they’ll crack.

Well I just came back to this thread. Mine has been deleted a year now going by the date on this thread and is still going strong. Have had absolutely no trouble with my DD13. I’d do it again in a second. Sure keeps my water temp a lot lower.
