I've always wondered what to do in this situation but I never knew for sure. And finally it happened.

The other day I'm going through a weigh in motion scale and I get a roadside sign that says "Truck must enter weigh station" but the next moment my Drivewyze prepass gives me a bypass.

    Whadduyado?

If u got pre passed then its gonna be in their computer system . if you ever spend time in a scalehouse like some of us do, you can watch the trucks that get prepassed , when they pass under the sensors the officers can see the info pop up on a seperate conputer screen.. atleast thats how it is in montana

Drivewyze is a bit different than prepass. Mine is based on GPS location and cell coverage. The sensors, AFAIK, are for prepass trucks. Drivewyze is through my Omnitracs box.

You have to go in. Prepass and DriveWyze are based on you company's previous record. The "Must Enter" sign is based on either a weight threshold set by the scale master, or by some other criteria he's set. If you saw a cop standing at the exit waving you into the weigh station while your PrePass was beeping green would you blow on by?

I follow the most restrictive, in this case "truck must enter weigh station." Yeah, probably not necessary, but I'm not taking any chances.

If my Drivewyze says bypass I bypass . I thought all the scale signs say all trucks must enter. If they want me they’re more than welcome to come get me.
