At this point and time. I don't see emergency status anymore anywhere.

The only thing I can see that would even qualify would be the vaccine these days.

Livestock and livestock feed are on there too. And since day 1 of the exemption they didn’t have any stipulations like other products where it had to be an “emergency”.

I thought the wording was different, but either way, we weren’t switching back and forth. We generally hauled feed ingredients both ways.

I’m hauling fertilizer now and have properly logged things more in these last three weeks than I have since last June when I started hauling feed ingredients.

Yeah it’s kind of a joke in most cases. I picked up a load of mulch yesterday and the shipper gave me an HOS waiver for farms. Load is going to menards. Smh.

Even medical IMO it’s not needed unless you just want to use a reason to not follow HOS. I think we’ve used the exemption 3 times since it all started. That includes hauling covid tests too.

And Sharky88 that’s not a dig at you, if your doing it legal then to each their own buddy. I guess if your running cross country then it would get you way ahead. It just seems running 600 to 1000 miles and being required to take a 10 just isn’t worth it unless it’s a true emergency.

Yep. But that goes with not seeing an emergency.

Things are getting back to normal.. Testing sites are disappearing. People are going back to work..

The only thing hurting these days is inventory of pretty much everything.

What I haul is medical equipment used in the direct care of covid patients

It really doesn’t matter. There is no emergency anymore. Or, maybe a team should be put on it? You are just using the exemption because you can, not because you need to.

    Wouldn’t you agree or no?

You say there is no emergency ok but the government says there is. They even extended the exemption until August and will revisit it in July. If I can use the exemption why not? You make it sound as if I cheating or something. What I am doing is legal. That is what matters.

Government needs to keep emergency in effect because vaccines are approved under that order until fda approves them.
