Rideandrepair, Midwest Trucker and Link15 Thank this.

ok here is what I would do,
Hire a driver.
be proactive in getting that truck loaded all the time, seek out better sources for loads, get rid of your o/o mentality and think about how to leverage backhauls, freight lanes and how to keep the truck moving.
at the same time, figure out how to bring others on board under the authority, this means getting a good lawyer to craft a contract for your leasing program, take a low percentage off of each load and again keep those rolling. -
Thank you. I like how you think. Have to be smart and brave enough.

Start a LLC. Lease the truck to prime, get a 2290. hire prime approved driver. Pay the driver % of the weekly settlements. Pay taxes. Lose sleep and have dinner interrupted by phone calls from driver.
Keep truck in running . rinse and repeat up to five trucks. Sell your business.
Don't think o missed to much here! -
