I worked for Schneider intermodal for 7 years before I went to Estes express. Here's what has changed. In 2014 I was making between 1200 and 1500 gross regional driving. 2 years later I went local, Mon to Fri 6am to 6pm. My load pay was 46 per load (I think) when I left i was making 48.50 per load. Localintermodalsni is right, they have no clue where the empties are and they will send you to places for empties only to find out they are still loaded, even though they have cameras in the containers so they can see if it is empty or not. They moved dispatch from Fairburn, GA to Green Bay so they have no clue of traffic situations in Atlanta. You CANNOT dispatch a city you do not know, in my personal opinion. On paper, you can run from Fairburn to Mcdonough in an hour 15, 30 tops but between 4 and 6 pm it can be a 3 hour turn around. Again, if you don't know the area and how to run the back road, you are screwed. I left because my paycheck did not justify my time away from home. Also they started getting really nitpicky about stuff. It is a decent company to start out with but my time with them had run its course and it was time to go.

Lol the last part reminds me of my current account at JB Hunt on their amazon account they had me drive from Dallas to Houston with an empty told me to drop the empty pick up another empty and take it 45 mins to another amazon just to switch empties again I looked at the relay was like how about I don’t do that and say I did :laughing5: Literally a waste of a trip drove all the way to Houston just to turn back and come to Dallas with the same empty and then my truck decided to give up on life and break down :banghead: but I got some good entertainment waiting for the tow truck to come get I watched a driver from another company get fired at the truck stop and go straight postal cops came and tased the guy
