So I got stopped by a state cop for being in the left lane. On one page he gave me it clearly says it's a warning but unfortunately it is showing up on my psp report as a moving violation. Is this considered a moving CONVICTION? Does a conviction mean you paid something or went to court? Also he told me it wouldn't be on my record. Did he mean just mean my mvr? Which it is not thankfully but I'm still upset it's on my psp since it was just a warning but I'm gonna assume it's cause he also did a driver inspection
Do I have to list a warning I got if a job is asking for moving convictions?

It's a warning as far as DMV goes. The cop also long formed you. That unfortunately is NOT a warning. It's not a conviction.

Thanks so under this circumstance I really don't have to state it on the application but if they asked for moving violations I would, correct?

The companies are only asking about your history while driving as a commercial operator while on duty.
They dont need to know about what you have done with a personal vehicle. That is unless you really dont want to work.
IE dont give them a reason NOT to hire you.TokyoJoe Thanks this. -

A conviction is a result of being found guilty of a moving violation whether you plead guilty and paid the fine, or went to court and found guilty. If you did get a ticket, at least you’d have a chance to fight it. Probably would have lost anyway. Warning ticket on PSP? What a bunch of BS. I had no idea. Must be because of it being noted on inspection. Still it doesn’t need to be listed on the annual moving violations report kept on file by Carriers. Only Convictions. If you fight a ticket and win, it basically never happened. You can be charged with anything, doesn’t mean your guilty. A Company can have their own policies, such as contacting them any time a ticket or warning is received. Or any policy they want. I wouldn’t mention it, unless it’s their policy. Sure wouldn’t mention on an application, but be ready to explain if asked. I only recently found out that the PSP existed. It has its purpose I guess. I really don’t think it’s fair to Drivers. Let’s the Government do something that if a Company did,( Blackballing) would result in a Lawsuit.
