I see the owner operators/lease purchase guys just got a pretty substantial raise, .05 cpm loaded, and an increase in empty mile pay, plus .01 bump on the quarterly bonus.

Sorry to miss the opportunity to cross your path… hopefully another chance will come.

I did however meet another driver…

I’m sitting in the drivers lounge doing laundry and hear “hey, are you MidWest?”… lol … yes, yes I am…. Are you Modlite? Nope… another Driver that reads this thread and thought he’d ask and say hello.

To that Driver, and any other Driver that reads this thread… make a TTR profile and come chat with us!!! We would love to hear from you and what you are hauling and where you’re heading.

    runningman0661 Thanks this.

So this is the first company to where I’ve had an apu, I love having power to fridge, microwave, tv, Xbox.

    Winter time I liked it.

I hate it now it’s hot. The constant sound of the air blowing at full blast is becoming mind numbing. Waking every time the unit kicks on. Having to close the curtains completely and basically lay in front of the vents. Everything works well. But the head space in the sleeper is hot. So back to hoarding air vents.

We’ll continue this journey in the morning.

Do you have a Thermo King or Carrier unit. I always found the TK units ran less and were quieter. My KW has a battery operated APU, no noise.

Yes. Those are very loud. I was able to sleep thru it starting and stopping after a while.

The Carrier I had on my first FCC truck ran 8 hours non stop b4 shutting down, cooling or not. I got used to it.

After doing team driving with my uncle back in 2000,s he made DAM….sure I could sleep any where and any how . He made sure… I new where every pot hole , rough stretch of a road , sharp on and off ramps was , speed bumps , hard take offs and stops felt like lol he tried countless times to throw me out of bed but he never succeeded. I was so glad to be assigned my own truck !
