110,000 lbs crane track

    Okay, so I’m used to just “running it” because well I’ve worked for companies that didn’t care about their equipment or how much weight you put in it.

    Now that I have my own stuff, I want to make sure I’m legal and well, the trailer can hold it.

    I have a customer that wants me to haul a 110,000lbs crane track.

    Can I put that on a 4 axel flatdeck with a 4 axel truck or will I need Jeep’s and boosters, etc.

    Here’s where i was told it was okay - 100k track on this setup.

    How hi it will be on that trailer will tell you if you will have to pay for escort/s and how much extra you have to charge them?

    If you look at the trailer’s vin number plate, there’s a gvwh there too, that will tell you if your trailer can hold it.

    What he said. It is all about trailer build. I can put 100k on the deck of my all aluminum 48 spread and 60k in 4ft. Because that's the specs I wanted. No 2 trailers are the same. Look at the spec plate or the build sheet if you have it.

    This trailer is a 104,000 lbs according to the gvwr tag.

    Our steel tridem stepdeck easily held 50 tons of concrete slabs when we did local back roads.

    It did not bend like that 4 axle in the OP’s picture.

    Now, some older trailers look saggy instead of arched. Doesn’t mean it’s worn out or weak. Just the way it’s built.
