Bought a new truck this weekend. It’s Wednesday now and I pick the truck up from the shop doing all the hitching Friday. Have a appointment to get my inspection done on Tuesday. I think I know the answer to this but. Can I run without my annual inspection as long as I have proof of just buying the truck or do I have to sit this weekend out?

How often do you see dot in your running area?
personally, i’d run it and not be to worried about it.
how up tight are you about your csa score? It’s not an out of service violation, but it could earn you a fix it ticket & some csa points. -
You should have got it inspected before you laid down the money. But anyway, CYA. Get the truck inspected. Why wait. Most in truck stop can do one.

It’s a 3500 ram cab chassis. The truck stops near me won’t do an inspection on a hydraulic brake truck. At the moment I run as hard as I can on the weekends and work a full time job m-f. Was just trying to get a good load in this weekend.

Should not be a problem finding an independent shop that will do that for you. Ask around.

Depending on what part of the country you are in, did you try Southern Tire Mart?

They care nothing about the brakes being hydraulic,
They check the tires and lights and stuff and give me the sticker .
