About 5 years ago the Ontario gov had a survey about truck parking. Typical government survey asked the wrong type of questions. They wanted to know I ever or how often I had trouble finding overnight parking around the GTA. And the answer to those questions is no and never. I live in Ontario. I know if you don't have parking at the customer and can't be at a truck stop before 4pm you don't go passed Ayr, if you can't be in Ayr before 5 or 6 you don't go passed Woodstock. The question they need to ask is how many hours do you give up parking early because you know there is lack of parking ahead.

A union is only as good as the people who are in it.

Truck OWNERS and truck companies should provide their own parking.
Not some party who is not involved in the trucking industry.
Obviously costs would be involved and should be charged back to the shipper/receiver
Not haul cheap freight and then complain ''poor me''.
    There are other solutions available.

I used to pay the 10 bucks at the fifth wheel truck stop and use the ticket towards breakfast. I miss that old place.
