Back in the old west everybody knew they'd risk getting shot and nobody caring if they got caught messing with other people's stuff. Nowadays your best defense is careful strategy and the "ounce of prevention" mentality as most thieves are just criminals of opportunity. Some bum sleeping in the car though tells me that was not a good place to park.

Hit em hard enough and claim that's how you found them

I was parked at a loves. Got to my destination to unload and the driver seat was all the way back. At least whoever it was was decent enough to not mess up the interior.

My post trip is making sure everything is tied down, locked ect...
