North Baltimore OH Petro. It was always a decent store easy parking. I was there a few days ago after having not been there in a few years. The store coolers are all but gutted. They've closed the Iron Skillet to put IHOP in its place.

My first reaction to seeing that was to say FUUUUK me. A driver nearby says "That's what I said."

The downhill slide is well underway. Just a matter of time now.

When the states start cutting off the extra $$ unemployment payments, the people will have to go back to work. Also, states are going to insist they take jobs or lose payments.

 

Shame. That was always a decent Petro. It used to be the Shoppers' Mall 76 way back when it was first built. Sadly, it's all about how fast you can get it delivered, not enjoying the ride and journey.

 

One of the waitresses at Rees' Snow Shoe truck plaza in Pennsylvania said they have had to severely cut the hours of the restaurant. They hate to do it, but staff is so short of help they have no choice. Same with the Kwik-Fill down the road in Kylertown.

 

There's a pretty cool TS in Denmark Wi.....I'm told they'll sell you beer at the counter

The Ritchfield truck stop at 1_41, exit 60 has a larger selection of booze than your average liquor store in Georgia. Next time I'm in I'll take a picture of the multiple shelves of miniatures next to the diesel register. Most of the kwik trips have walk in beer coolers. I honestly can't think of a single truck stop in the state that doesn't at least sell cruddy beer. I think a Class B license comes free with your business permit.

You definitely need to escape your hot, muggy state and come to civilization. Make it to GB on a weekend and I'll take you to dinner.
