Last night guy shows up on my deck wearing a mask!!!,,,and holding a pizza. I’m shocked, cuz he can read
He averages over $20 per hour in tips, along with delivery charge that’s added to pizza so likely does all right
Relocating for LTL/Linehaul or other home daily work.

Of course if I've learned anything from my CA-to-NM relocation, it's that I move better when traveling light. So if ABQ or Denver metro does happen, it's definitely going to be an empty apartment or house for me if it comes time to bounce from those cities. Air mattress on the floor, cat toys for the cat.Last edited: May 28, 2021

$1100 gross or net?
-
Biggest thing I'm trying to do is get a Chevy pick up paid off before making any serious moves. Call it the sunk cost fallacy on that one over why I haven't gotten rid of it. That and I'd like to get back into sleeping in own bed everyday(I'm a night driver).Last edited: May 31, 2021

So what is gross?
-
Anyways, i don't have time. If $1100 net, then we are looking at $1400-$1800 gross? In that case, the gig may not be that bad.
Now IF you really wanted to make a move, then what i've done is to rent a UPS store box----and they give you an actual address, not a P.O. box or a just a box number. So, you could use that as your real address to make it look like you live in whatever city you are wanting to go to. Then, either use a hotel or one of those efficiency type places until you get something solid. Or, maybe you are fortunate to know someone who lives in that city. If things don't pan out, you can always try the same thing somewhere else.
You'll have to forgive me as i really don't know western geography that well, but it seems you live in the middle of nowhere, so maybe a move would be a good thing irregardless? Although, again, maybe the current gig is not that bad?jmz Thanks this. -
And as much as I've been trying to do the apartment/house thing, I guess the UPS box and efficiency place will have to be something to be less stubborn about. The way I see it, my work hours with a line haul will probably negate the need for any place fancy. In and out the door in the dead of night, no time to give the 20 something urban neighbors any thought.
All in all, I'll find a way to make square peg fit. -
i'm not necessarily saying use a mailbox and an efficiency full time----just until you get something solid. This way the company "thinks" you live there and would be more willing to give you a chance.

Idk if Arizona would be where your wanting to go but here is a shuttle position with a food company with a 10k sign on bonus.
