I'm trying to move a 2003 malibu to my daughter in Chicago. I'm not having any luck with lying brokers...
I had one quote $625 then he called me the next morning and said he can pick it up the next morning and the new price was $1100. He then went on to tell me that he had already paid the driver and if he didn't pick up the car than the truck will go empty and he will charge my card $1100 for the service. After I hung up I canceled the card...
So my question is how can I find a honest car transportation company. And if the truck is getting $900 to go to Chicago I need to sell my flatbed and buy a parking lot....someone please help

983 miles. Tolls the whole way and Chicago traffic. I guess that it is time to sell your flatbed because $900 is low.

There is a company in the Boston area called Pre-owned Towing. They can get that moved for you but I don't have a clue what they'll charge. Or Scott Transportation from Fairfield Me. They run to the Midwest a lot from the Boston area.

If you think that $900 for a single car is that good, also think about it like having 7 partials on your trailer. The gross may seem high, but you will spend some time picking them up and dropping them off unless you get the full load 1p-1d.
