Nice pictures every one.
40 west in Tn. Just east of yard stick 340. I ran this pass at night several times as I was in training. So no day driving at this time.
I started in 2016 the real windy year. I wouldn't do over 45 or 50 miles a hour. Scared to death.
So on this one night in particular the wind was almost none, I found the courage to get up to a whole 58mph. Feeling like a king I look out over the mountain. I see the city lights down below. So many at once. Its a sight I will never forget. Right then and there I new I was gona make it or doe trying. In new Mexico that windy year I thought it was gona be the later in my first sand storm.
Talking of NM, coming east on 40 down into alberquere. ( however it spelt).
When the moon and stars are out. Looking down into the city. Another moment I won't forget.
This country is gourgous.
Or even ( this one still makes me slow down from nerves) That nc va line on 77. Concert bridge looking over the fields at night. What a show!
I did here back in 2018 a couple trucks where blown over on that one.
Coolest pick up or delivery spot you have been to?

The Grand Canyon. I had a load of oats for the pack mules.
I met a farmer that had a load of straw at Page AZ, he had the contract for suppling the stables, I followed him in through the east gate. Normally trucks are not allowed in that way, but he had the permits.
We arrived in the evening and parked over night by the stables.slow.rider, D.Tibbitt, bzinger and 2 others Thank this. -

I don't have any pictures, but Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. Sept 13, 2001. I'd had an accident before I left that morning, had a nasty cut on my forehead. I wrapped a rag around my head, kinda like a turban.
Pulled up to the gate and was met with National Guardsmen with machine guns pointed at the tires. They turned out to be rather cool once I explained the rag around my melon.
Went on the island and back to their maintenance garage. I was dropping some John Deere Gators, and doing some repairs on their other equipment. I was told I'd be better off working outside in the sunlight because the power was out at their garage. I'm at a nuclear power plant, and they have no power? What are the odds?slow.rider, feldsforever and bzinger Thank this. -
My least favorite place was a pallet mill in IN that had a nuclear technology research lab next door.
They were both 20-30miles in the middle of nowhere they were isolated intentionally. Radiation signs on the fence and “deadly weapons in use” complete with mall ninjas riding around on side by sides.slow.rider, bzinger and feldsforever Thank this. -

Mcilheny's on Avery Island, LA, where Tabasco is made. Unbelievable place and worth a visit if you're within a day of it.
