You think $2/mile is bad? I ran a minimum of $2/mile all miles all winter and now running $2.25-2.50/mile all miles due to fuel increases. I field phone calls all day that end very badly from reactions I get from brokers and shippers having heart attacks when I quote for all miles plus a full accessorial policy.

How many people have got an insurance quote on the increased amounts before writing dramatic walls of text to their senators?

Insurance isn't the only problem with the Bill, just one of many.

Everyone will be on cpap so the next thing will be cpaps will come original equipment in trucks. The biggest problem with the freightliner ones will be they will be connected to the emmisions system on the engine and it will do a regen while you are trying to sleep.

Just to keep things in perspective.....we are discussing how we, as an insurance carrier will respond to the pending $ 2,000,000 limit requirement........looks like we'll charge around 25-40% of the $ 1,000,000 LIABILITY premium.....not UM, med Phys Dam Cargo etc....just the liability premium.

70% of all trucks in America are O/O with less than 6 trucks. This goes through this Country will stop moving. That is no joke.

My truck will stop moving, that’s for sure. Also now thinking to cancel an order on another new truck I have coming in August..

Too much uncertainty now and not worth the risk. To those content to drive a 65mph truck and accept every nanny aid the government throws at you…enjoy.
