I live just north of you in st joe and I am on the OTR fleet and I even get by home off and on for a 10 or even sometimes for a 34 while on a load . I-29 is like a Major north south road for FCC in our area . There is a total of 3 of us drivers that live in st joe and one of the other driver is a OTR driver like me and he also get by the house frequently . The other driver is on some kind of a dedicated account. I call them curtain side trailers but not sure the correct name is what that driver does .

I keep reading and seeing a lot of positive things about FCC that I like. However, I haven't seen anything that is remotely negative, which is good, but surely there has to be something or is this the perfect carrier? It seems like FCC puts a lot of effort into making it a positive environment to work. If a driver shows up to work, puts in an honest day, and just does his job, there will be freight to move, the money will be there and it's a win win for FCC & the driver.

I am going on 3 years at FCC and i love it here! I’ve never worked for a company that listens to drivers and takes care of them like FCC . The trucks are well maintained and the shops do a excellent job. The shop has a schedule they follow . I can’t honestly remember if it is ever 8 or 9 thousand miles roughly the truck goes into the shop for inspection & services like greased APU services if it is time oil changes and filters . My DM keeps track of my miles for me . Then at certain miles the truck is brought into the shop for other services they do per the schedule they have. Like for instance they run the over head on the motor around 150 - 250 thousand miles then at 1 year on my truck they changed the front shocks put new steer tires on it , changed the battery in the prepass box and etc just things no other company does on the maintenance side .

Is FCC perfect? No. No company is. Is there things that go on here that really pissed me off from time to time? Yes, there is. But, nothing that has been bad enough to make me leave yet. All in all FCC is a good honest down-to-earth company that actually cares about the drivers. As far as not having anything negative to say. I'm sure we all getting ticked off from time to time. The main difference with that is not the company but the driver. Most of our guys on here don't like to b****, moan and complain about every little thing with the company we work for. We just get the job done and deal with it. If things get bad enough, we find a different job. Trucking probably more than any other industry is filled with job Hoppers who always think the grass is greener and jump to a different company every time they get their panties in a bunch about something. 99% of this job like most others is all about your attitude towards it. I'm not saying it's not all right to get mad at the company you work for from time to time, God knows I do LOL but I just don't understand all these people that constantly put posts on this site airing their dirty laundry with the companies they work for. A little venting here and there is understandable, but there are a lot out there that really take it to a whole other level LOL I realize there are a lot of really bad companies out there however, and I'm glad to report that have FCC in my experience so far is not one of them.... so, my long-winded answer to your question about why you don't read any negative things about FCC on here is, our drivers don't have time for that crap we just try to get the job done and have a good attitude for the most part and deal with problems as they come. If you are a hard worker with a good attitude you will do well here

I am on that Fleet and go through KC quite a bit. As someone else already mentioned we have a couple of drop yards there. Hell, I've had a couple of weeks where I didn't even make it to Nebraska LOL just went KC to Dallas and back, now, it's certainly not like that all the time, so I don't want to get your hopes up. But yes, we do go to Kansas City quite a bit

I’ve been with FCC for 1.4 years.
I drove for several companies in the past and this company has been the best!
When something happens if you communicate very respectfully with them they will take care of you Above and Beyond!
The only complaint that I have is about myself!
I think that I’m getting to old for this trucking stuff.. Lol !
I don’t see the same or move quite as fast like years before. I’m going to be 60 on November and looking at my hair in the mirror I joke saying to myself....” Where did all this white hair come from!

Hell brother, I'm 40 and wondering the same thing lol I'm sure 10 years of foodservice, owning a contracting business before that, and raising kids is the answer though!
