That is very nice model. Diecast Masters provide excelent price to detail level.

I paid 229usd for my conrad model + 16.5 shipping, and it is not even close in detail level to this one, it is more like toy than model.
It is high quality and robust model, you can play with it, drive and load with the crane not just for shelf.
it is not problem to wipe dust, nothing would fall off.

it is made in germany, i think only diecast model that is made in EU.
why i buy their models is that they provide high functionality (like fully working crane, 3way tippers, etc.) also this is what we drive everyday (german-like trucks).
other german brand nzg, has way better details, good enough robustness and decent functionality(but not on same level).

dutch models wsi and tekno, make high detailed models, close to level of detail on real truck, they are not really for open space, must be placed in display cases.
it can happen that you damage them while taking out of their box as there are many sensitive parts.
problem with dutch truck is thay are more made for looks than functionality, it is re-creation of show trucks etc.
they offer excelent heavy haul trucks and dutch are best choice for this, working steering, working suspension combined with high details.
dutch brands make long distance trucks too (rare at german brands), which i am not interested into .
but their work trucks (vocational) are not ones you can see in germany and most of EU, but something they use only in NL, eventually denmark.

another thing i dont like at dutch brands is that there is no MB as vocational truck (only heavy haulage and few long distance).
this is what market wants, truck enthusiasts (as i said few times before, NL is highest placed in truck world in EU) wants scania and volvo mostly, plus NL due WW2 dont like german brands (if there was no WW2 scania would not exist today, as some markets turn against german brands after ww2, NL actually saved scania).
best of all models in EU are IMC, they were called before tonkin replicas (they are divided from american part), they use Tekno tractors and make their own trailers.
when you see their models, you feel like, is this really possible

there are like 65 differences between them.
this is related to lights, mirrors, seats, and other homologation related things.
mayor differences are that they come with dd8 engine, and allison 3000 (our is 3200).
in EU we mostly have 4 seats in cab, you can get 1,2,3 or 4.
here drivers seat is from atego, probably was easier to do homologation for us standards.
we have mercedes-benz radio too :) but it is placed from factory next to hvac controls.

Everyone hated the Germans after the war I would think………

Every German company that made it thru the war was probably guilty of collaboration .
