So I try not to run this far south east but I’ve got a load of boat bs going to Pensacola.
I’m in Jonesboro right now trying to find the best route.

Looks like the best route is I55 to Jackson then run the 49/98 to I-10

Anything on the 49/98 I should worry about (weight/height?)
Or is there a better route. The lazy part of me says I-22 to to I-65 to I-10 but that adds a TON more miles.

    I’d say I 22 to Tupelo, MS, 45 down to Saraland/Mobile.
    I65 to 10.

be about 23 mile longer than 35/19, but I bet faster time wise.
It’s all 4 lane but like 20-25 mile in AL, but like 65 mph speed zone

45 an alright route? I might cowboy up on some of the low weight bridges close to home but that’s cause I know the area.
I don’t wanna end up on a news paper as a guy who crashes through a bridge lmao

Thanks! I’ll give it a shot. I appreciate your help.
I wish every state would add a web page listing their low weight bridges. It’s 2021 or atleast have pamphlets at their welcome centers/weigh stations.

Wait to fuel if it’s your money, til you get to west point ms.
There’s like an chevron that has good cheap fuel, dirt lot, easy to miss, going S it’ll be on LHS, not the Texaco at the light.
There’s a loves at the south end of town now too.

    Mototom Thanks this.

Pensacola is in Florida, not Alabama. :)

55 to 49 through Jackson is the best route in a big truck (I used to live on the gulf coast).

TIP - Once you get through Hattiesburg and get on 98, start watching for HWY 63 when you get close to Lucedale. Take that down to I-10. There’s only 1 light between 98 and I-10 on HWY 63. You take 98 to 65 and you’ll be in red light hell when you get within 10-15 miles Mobile.

Bad News: The I-40 bridge is currently closed in Memphis (it’s been under repair for a couple of weeks now) so ALL traffic is routed to the I-55 bridge. Be prepared for a couple of hour delay.

Memphis is a headache right now. You could take 412 east to Jackson, TN and hop on 45 south right there.
When you get down to Mobile take 158 east to I 65, then I 10.

Yeah my bad I said AL cause I know I gotta hit mobile either way. From mobile to Pensacola is a straight shot.
That and I’m due for a nice 10hr nap.
