It might have been a recent change. There’s a highway in Louisiana that I’ve run for years and just recently, because of one bridge about the size of Honda Civic (lol), they changed the weight restriction to 25 tons.

It’s a regular run of mine but I’m picky about what time of day I run across it heavy. I have no idea what’s up with their detour so I usually just stay north and then down south.

Mississippi is a pain to navigate with their low-weight highway system and all their weight-restricted bridges. I found a good map of their highway system that shows weight restrictions and also a MDOT website that shows weight restricted bridges.

It has been 9 years since I was last anywhere near the Mississippi River. If I am in Jonesboro and need to get through to US 78 in Mississippi and before I will sit in 2 hours of backups I'm cutting across to Dyersburg on I155 and then going south on US 51 to Memphis and go on the east side to US 78. From there you can slide down US 45 all the way to almost Mobile. Last I saw these roads were not that bad. Again it's been 9 years for me.

Well today I ran down 67S south of Corning I think? I found one of the bridges is now a 15ton weight limit. FML (this has been a run of mine for a while and now it’s killed)
