What do you spend your money on?

Wife,kids, grandkids they can shovel it out the back door faster with a teaspoon than I can shovel it in the front door with a coal shovel.

 

I try to save as much as I can so that I can take half the year off and live life overseas! I've been doing this for over 10 years now.

 

Lot Lizards and penicillin. Why do you ask?

 

I heard some of the TA's put vending machines in for that now. You can even use your points.

If you don't mind me asking who do you work for and do they take you back each time you take off? Or do you just go to a new company each time you come back?

If you don't want to name specific company names that's fine, but I'm curious as to whether or not you keep going back to the same company or just switch companies. Also what sector of trucking do you do (OTR dry van, OTR reefer, LTL, flatbed, tanker, etc. etc.)?

Do you have a home here in the states or just live out of the truck when you come back for 6 months?

I have to say that's a pretty cool lifestyle for you to have. I bet you have a lot of great memories and life experiences doing that.

I just sent a cashier's check for $1500 to a fellow veteran that was up until late yesterday morning facing eviction and was two months behind. Because of Covid this person's employer shut down their business and about 6 weeks ago decided to make it permanent! All their savings is gone and for some reason, they lost their pandemic unemployment assistance. This was no scam, I know this person, but have used up all my "mad" cash for June! I long for the day when all this madness ends!
