And this is how the cost of everything you buy in a store it goes up through the roof… Do you think these motor carriers are going to turn around and eat this cost? Do you really think the retailers are going to eat the cost? I can Tell you no way in heck are they eating it...you as a consumer are going to pay more for goods whether or not you think will..

Trucks haul stuff. Some of this stuff is hauled for retail. If the carrier isn't gonna eat it, a scumbag broker won't eat it, and most likely the stores aren't gonna eat it who's that leave? In the end somebody's gonna eat that extra cost.

You obviously do not understand the ramifications of this kind of stuff… The one thing that you clearly are demonstrating is that you do not even comprehend this stuff… The higher the cost of transportation of goods the higher the cost of goods in the stores will be… It’s real simple… You know like when the cost of fuel goes through the roof too the fuel surcharge jumps up which means places like Walmart gets charge more for the cost of their goods to be shipped to them which means they’re going to raise their price to cover their cost which means you will pay more in the store… It’s very simple...

to me, it's just like the TRUCKS ONLY tolls in some states..

to me, highly arbitrary or discriminatory towards one group of highway users.

    toll all, or toll none.

this miles tax, can only in time, spread to ALL vehicles, especially those that have electric cars, as they are not buying gasoline or diesel that pays road use taxes.

sooner or later, the snowflakes will cry, and wish they had not initiated such crappola.

I comprehend just fine thanks. You make me laugh every time we converse dude....or lack there of....you always talk to me like "you know something I don't know, and you finna learn me something." Lol anyway, I understand what you are saying. I'm just pointing out the fact that it's barely a noticeable tax. New York, New Mexico, Kentucky, and I want to say Oregon already charges something for trucks as it is. I don't know what the cost of it is exactly. How much is it really going to impact truckers though? Unless you're running up there all the time, it's going to be a minuscule tax. What makes consumers pay more money on goods seems to be things like natural disasters, or more simply, supply and demand.

Again you don’t seem to understand...this will effect EVERYONE not just truckers...i do know what I’m talking about...so lets say if fuel goes to $4 nationally, you don’t think that will cost you more on goods????...

also every truck out here oays a $550 yr hwy use tax + ifta taxes...also the interstate system was designed for military and for interstate commerce to begin with.

    .
I understand man...I promise I understand. Of course it will....that's a national cost. That's completely different than one state's individual tax. The trucker tax in Connecticut don't everyone the same is what I'm saying. Do you understand what I'm saying?

Trucks driving through Connecticut that aren’t delivering in that state still get hit with it...so in other words, states other than Connecticut will feel it at some point not long after this bs starts...

It's the the way the northeast is I guess. They've been doing this since the beginning of time it seems. I'd more see it if the other continental states decided to follow suit. Each state got their way of getting revenue. I'm live in Tennessee, they have the highest sales tax in the nation I think, 9.75 percent. I guess as long as you don't buy anything in Tennessee it don't affect ya, but living there I avoid state income taxes. We all gonna give up some coin some kind of way I guess.
