I've slip seated sleeper cab trucks and it wasn't that big of a deal, but nobody stayed in the truck for more than 1 night at a time usually at this particular outfit, so nothing got piggied up too badly. Some of the guys even twisted the company's arm into buying them a hotel room for the night.

Right, but it’s more than that.
Companies are being purposely sabotaged, to try to put them out of business.
From cybercrime to people infiltrating their companies docks and trailers to poison your pallets of food ingredients, sabotage your trucks, to create mass poisonings or a disastrous wreck on down the highway.
Or opposing companies driver simply pulling your king pin lock, or unlocking your back door of your of your hazmat placarded trailer, to get you busted by highway patrol for unsecure load etc as the door bounces up and down.
I’ve seen it going on, and it’s going to get worse because of the political situation in this country.
So us drivers have to do our part, be constantly on the alert for anything, and double check everything before you take off.

I've heard that you can start at $90,000 at Walmart.
But it seems like you have to sell your soul to them in the process.
I wouldn't be surprised that after you get hired on that they would brand "property of Walmart " on your butt.

    Thanks but no thanks

isnt that what tiger woods did with nike? personally have tiger woods money then trucker but alas i am but a trucker who hates golf and finds it boring now hockey, football, and rugby hell yes done all 3 but never made money off of so i was just SOL.

i dont see an issue you follow rules that part your job like all companies all walmart just demands you do them or be terminated they it seems really they need all these policies because truckers there did stupid stuff and not do basic stuff and ruined it for everyone. normally why new rules get put in place so you really should blame your fellow drivers for being under such a microscope. kinda like how walmart doing away from truckers in parking lot overnight lazy ### people throwing there crap everywhere when they leave except trashcans even when some had trash cans right there where truckers parked.

Something some of you younger Hands might enjoy.
Mid 1990's I hired on to Yellow Freight in Portland, OR.
Was classified "temporary" until you worked 72 shifts. Was doing pre-trip, had hood open and yard man stopped and told me if a DM or Dispatch sees me doing a pre-trip I'd never get hired. Did pre-trip next day and this time another driver stopped and told me same thing. Told me I was taking away work from another Union "brother". I guessed he meant someone working in Maintenance Shop. Never did get hired permanently, worked 68, maybe 70 shifts and got letter in mail telling me I "Failed to Qualify" for full-time employment. Times change, nothing stays the same.
