I noticed a funny thing with CH Robinson Navisphere load board. To my surprise, I got pretty good luck with them lately so I scan it more regularly now. They started to show who the shipper and receiver is and also their base posted rates were not too bad and subject for negotiations when you call them or email them to ask for more. Their agents may not know that I can see what initial rates they offer, so on a few occasions when I called them in order to ask more questions about the load, they still tried to undercut me by $100-200 from what the load board already offered. I should have asked them "Is it really all you got in it?". Or maybe I will.
Below is all the CHR has to offer for the rest of today in Chicago area:

I'm not sure where you guys are seeing the drop in rates at. I'm in Midwest left the house Monday, back home to watch kids baseball game on Weds, will be back home tonight, and run another short 1 tomorrow and be home for weekend. I'll be at $5800 on roughly 1300 miles....there definitely hasn't been a drop around here.

Not real sure what your point is? If rates are dropping they are dropping...short, long , medium whatever. 330 mile load for $1400 to start the week, then 2 loads totaling 350 miles for $1400. Then 2 loads for 310 miles for $1900. Then tomorrow 200 miles for $1100 and puts me 50 miles from my house for the weekend.

I dont mind short loads but often I find when u pile them up all it takes is one customer taking forever for unloading/loading to mess everything up
