Flying J in Kansas City

Anyone know if the Flying J in Kansas City was an original location, or if it was something else before? It doesn't have a sit-down restaurant, nor does it have the design of others, so I was curious. Thanks!

 

Thanks, Bzinger! Yeah, it's definitely in a sketchy area, that's for sure. Only reason I ask is that most of the Flyinf J's that were built after the company acquired Husky have the hip roofs and similar blond brick buildings, with a few variations depending on what concept they were going with. The Huskys of course, have their distinct A-frame architecture. But this one has atrium windows and an odd layout. Thanks for your information!

 

Yeah, most of the Broadway locations were in the Pacific Northwest, with a few in Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas. But I'll see if Navypoppop knows. If I remember right, he only ran east of the Mississippi, though.
