I used carpet runners with rubber backing to protect rough edges. Buy them cheap from Cintas. New in most carpet stores. Used carpet works good also.
I'd keep several 10' long. Also insulation noodles for bolts and other rod ends.
Keeps tarps in good shape. -
Tarps? I don’t need no stinking tarps!!!
2 24x16 machine tarps
1 16x16 machine tarp
1 junky ol smoke tarp

I have 4 large pieces of felt and about 20 cardboard coener protectors. The carpet is a good idea....and I would of never thought of pool noodles....thanks -

+1 on the industrial carpet runners, they dont move on you either, but you gotta keep em dry and cant double as strap/chain protection -
