I used to work in heavy equipment rentals. Used to laugh when the hacks would strap down light towers and crush the thin sheet metal hoods.

If it's like the one I haul there will be chain tiedowns under the machine inside of the tracks on the main frame so you can run an X for the rear and chain the blade And yes boom chain too

Usually there's a hole in the back of the X-frame on the carbody and holes on the side of the blades.farmerjohn64, jamespmack, cke and 5 others Thank this. -

In my opinion,2 4" straps is ok providing they go under the track and over the frame.
Also a chain over the blade and one over the bucket.Artax, cke, Roberts450 and 4 others Thank this.
