i see a big problem that this trailer is not really stiff, this length and gooseneck over gooseneck, dont make it really stable, it must flex and truck cant pull it always straight fully.
now few eu companies released their special models for north america, now within next few days goldhofer will release their lightweight 12 axle modular system, which is great thing, also 24 inch suspension travel is great, even if this happens it would be easy to take it out.
as for losing steering is not that uncommon in EU, especially on faymonvile.
also bit dangerous thing is if hydraulic line(suspension or steering) breaks and oil get to something hot, brakes, bearing, this can result in fire. that is why buying cheap not necessary means you can earn extra.
some people prefer to have self-steering trailers due that whenever is possible. they changed weight laws in germany so now law force you to have a forced steering on trailers over 4axles. before there were even 10axles semitrailers with 8 selfsteering axles. now you can have 4 axles with 2 self-steering axles with 4x10t weight. if you have 5axle trailer with selfsteering axles you get only 5x8t. VSE steering become popular for that because you can get relatively cheap, light and simple way to steer actively 3 axles. you can find them on swedish VM trailers.
as for parking brakes, here is no legal by any means to have composition that cannot hold itself on at least 12% incline by truck itself. we often have 30/30 brake chambers. i have now one truck, it will be 60 ton 6x2/4, 96cm high 5th wheel, due space only one axle can be equipped with with parking brake. certificate will be issued with mentioned limitation of incline regarding weight.
at end of video he says that he was able to start again on his own and it is very impressive he managed to do that
in my eyes this truck is far too much loaded for its specs no retarder, no hub reduction axles , too stiff suspension,(our competition tried single reduced axles, but there were huge vibration while starting truck would start to jump, everything suffer from this, they burn clutch at 18k miles on 3 trucks, they disassemble whole driveline and could not find the reason. i always do hub reduction on any work truck, 2axle garbage truck-yes, lightweight road-spec timber truck-yes, road going tipper-yes, mixer-yes. construction material crane truck-yes, fire truck-yes.
in EU we have law that truck must be able to start from standstill 5 times in period of 5 minutes with max GCW on 8% incline. we get 264k lbs from factory without any limitation regarding warranty, inclines, amount of km, type of roads etc.

Scania is introducing long premium cabs for increased comfort. The R and S series cabs can now be specified with 270 mm extra length.
“Scania raises the bar for premium trucks”, says Stefan Dorski, Senior Vice President, Head of Scania Trucks. “We will blend some of the capabilities from our Scania CrewCab into our premium cabs in the R and S series. By doing that we add generous space that brings extra comfort and opens up for a multitude of creative solutions”.

this is not serial production but comes from company laxa special vehicles (they make special cabs and chassis conversion for scania), scania do have some share inside. from scania colleagues i can heard they are lazy and dont want to do anything unless they have extra high profit or high numbers.
good thing is that they make cab from scratch, using panels, galvanize it...
it is not finished cab than converted, so this way there wont be rust and no wait time, volvo does this for years, in last series on same way to cut costs (cab extension hided between rear air deflectors)

Seems like Kenworth have big issues with their service network. Waiting a couple of weeks for replacing an adblue module or sensor seems ridiculous.
