Taking a break from driving

    Yes, that is an option. I like my job but know I can make much more elsewhere. If I'm going to change up with time off, I may as well also try another company that will pay better. I've done significant research and have ideas about companies that would fit my idea of how I like to work and run. If I come back to trucking, I may also look into buying or leasing (third party) a truck, or possibly buying a house in another market and getting a good company job.

    Move to where dump truck work is booming. buy truck for under 50k. I make close to 150k year working 5 days a week 8 hour days local. For 9 months a year. Take winter off and recharge. Although, as years go on, its hard to find solid premission dump truck that is ready to work.

    Hells no! I haven't driven in about 18 months because of other endeavors, and I get calls and emails constantly. I DO miss it and will get back to it eventually. So if you have another calling at the moment, by all means go answer it.
