Wow. I have never had a speeding ticket ever. But my last ticket was an illegal u-turn in July 2015.

How many will be too many? My record is clean right now. But I am nervous driving a truck will not keep it clean anymore.

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

most drivers i have worked with have accidents and tickets, thats why they are stuck at that job and will tell you there isnt a better job out there, if there was they cant get it anyway. those are the guys trying to rush you so you will have an incident and be stuck like them.

Are accidents and tickets inevitable or can be avoided?

    truckdriver31 Thanks this.

3 accidents - 2 of them preventable - and a ticket for pulling hazmat thru the capital of Ohio. All with my current company.

As far as what gets you fired, a lot depends on how you answer the question when the company asks you what happened. When they ask you that question, you are interviewing for your job. Long story short, they want to hear lots and lots of checking mirrors and GOAL, along with any other relevant safety considerations en masse. If you think you can blow off the question because the other guy got the tickets, then your odds of getting fired go thru the roof.
