Death Valley temperatures could come close to 134 degrees Fahrenheit – the highest air temperature recorded on Earth – in the next couple of days.
bzinger Thanks this. -
We were running errands, shopping, etc. yesterday in Las Vegas & Henderson. Temperature was 110 degrees, but not uncomfortable due to low humidity.
I didn't perspire much at all; clothes didn't get damp. -
Came through Vegas From SLC Monday night. 107 in SLC when I loaded Monday, 100 straight up at 10:15 that night in Vegas, and 112 in Tucson yesterday when I unloaded. Ridiculous

Here in Texas, ERCOT, the power grid manager's have issued a high usage advisory asking citizens to reduce usage. They said there were unexpected outages of electrical provider's.
Now, back in Feb. we went through blackouts because they, ERCOT, said the grid was not designed to withstand the winter conditions we saw. It was designed to work in the HOT summer heat.
Well, it is only June, and the temps are only in the upper 90's, no where near record highs. If this heat conditions carry on through till Sept. Texas may be in trouble.
Myself, i think the grid provider's saw the higher MG/H prices they could get when the supply was decreased and are creating shortages to increase their bottom line.TheLoadOut Thanks this. -

Had a few loads like that in texas nm and az, didnt think i was getting dehydrated cause i wasnt sweating... big mistake, didnt drink enough, unpleasant experiences -
Years latter after having moved to LV and having been acclimated to year round dry temps, flying back to Texas was like stepping into a sauna. Even on days with low humidity I’d sweat profusely.
I’ll take desert weather any day.
The Mojave desert is the driest place in North America. And if I recall correctly, LV is the driest part of the Mojave. -
