2 4” straps would not be legal securement.
The boom requires additional securement and a DOT officer may interpret the front spade as another boom.

I have loaded at the factory. There were no vans being loaded. The shipper has standards for securement. They will be adhered to, or you won't be loaded. Maybe you should stick to hauling pallet freight.

you’re right, my mistake. It must’ve been a hallucination, because I’m pretty #### sure they walked those machines out of a dry van onto to my trailer, at the company we hired to pick them up for us.

As for palletize freight, it’s hard to stick to hauling something that rarely haul to begin with. I can’t remember the last time I hauled a load of building materials or shingles or anything like that. You should check out my post, I put up a lot of pictures, ya just might learn something.

Yeah, but they are rusty and heavy so I try not to use them. Especially when straps do a better job.

That must have been your excavator that fell off the wagon in Louisiana the other night.

We don’t haul much RORO freight, to many people fighting for the easy loads. Here’s the last excavator I hauled, over a year ago, made it just fine from Texas to Kansas. EC34DFE7-7CFE-4D17-817F-7FF83C5A4CC3.jpeg

That’s enough. Stop busting his chops.

He’s a very respected and knowledgeable driver who has been with us a long time. If you disagree with how he may decide to do something, fine. But you’re carrying it too far.
