Jesus would flip over the dispatchers laptop and say," My House is a House of Prayer."

    @ConsciousTrucker
1k a week seems low to me.
Being away from home all the time, no thanks.
    I drive local.
    1500/ week guaranteed minimum.
    Home every night.
    Excellent equipment
    Excellent office crew.
If I need to shuffle days off to accommodate appointments, they're happy to do it.
    55 to 60 hours a week.
Sleep in my bed every night, honey by my side, dogs snuggled in around us.
You can do better with the money side.

You are singing my song! I have yet to find what you're describing in the Fayetteville, Arkansas area yet though?

I have tried to switch jobs for more money over the years and it never really
worked out. If a company is offering "to good to be true" wages there is usually
a reason.......there are reasons why they can't keep help.

Good companies are seldom hiring........usually they just let their existing guys know
and within a short time they have the help they need.

Based on what you have said I would stay where you are.......just my two cents.

For what it's worth, gas hauling is pretty lucrative across the board.
There's no shortage of demand, drivers with the endorsements are hard to come by, and most companies are having trouble keeping up with demand.
Most of my deliveries are to stations that are either close to empty, or have been out for a couple days.
    Why?
    Allocations at the rack.
Demand is higher than normal, leading to panic mode at the pump.
I know it's bad when Walmart has allocation issues, and I've run into that twice in the past few weeks.
Our slack season this year wasn't slack at all.
Now we're into busy season, and the demand has surpassed what anyone expected.
The competition for drivers has pushed pay through the roof.
Our guaranteed pay went up 400 bucks a week since March.
It's expected to jump again next month.
    There's a company paying 100k a year, but it's nights and weekends...
25 an hour is the average in the area, and that's low in relation to the rest of the country.
Obviously, some areas support higher pay than others.
What I have works nicely for my needs.

If you’re happy where you’re at. That’s worth a whole lot of extra money. I’d stay where you’re at.
I’ve gone through six companies in three years. Left because it was intolerable. It’s worst when you get administrators who blame you for their incompetence. I had one libel me on hire right after I left. Just to get the last punch in.
