I had thought about seeing if they would move me over to Hunt, until I saw the weekly update video post-inspection blitz...where he said they improved their OOS rate from 50% to 80% passing...and most of the drivers put OOS were equipment violations. If their equipment is in that bad of shape, no thanks. Especially if the Winston rumor is true.

May not get to see the inside of the Carthage caves. This is a -10 drop load, so there may be an outside drop lot so it isn't inside running until they're ready to unload. So I'll drop it tomorrow, then pu there Monday going to just north of San Antonio for Tuesday (drop there as well). Not been as productive for me as it was in the 1st quarter, especially June. But still, all I need to get my quarterly bonus after San Antonio load is just over 500 miles with a full week to go. I have been doing nothing but recaps all month, so maybe I can squeeze in a reset soon and get back to long miles before going home.

If I remember correctly you go through the caves to get to the outside drop lot

Carthage caves(what I saw of them) are unique. You go in opening number 9 follow around to the exit between opening 14 and 15. Drop the load there, go in the IN side of opening 15 until it deadends at the Americold office. Park off to the side, get bills signed (some people have to pay $61 to drop on the lot or $31 at a door, but not Shaffer...we drop fee free)...then go out the exit side of opening 15...up the hill and turn right, back out and you come out on the opposite side of the public road you came in on. When you were inside the compound, at the top of the hill you turned right to exit, you could also turn left and go into another staging area for other companies and other cave entrances. But @hotrod1653 was right, there is a lot more room to maneuver in there, and they cut big enough gaps between the pillars you can get turned around and back straight in instead of blindsiding like you have to do at some of the places in Subtropolis.

PC - bobtailed to the J in Joplin to do laundry, shower and take a break. Load to San Antonio won't be out until after midnight, and their office said they aren't ahead of schedule. So, I'm sitting here waiting on my clothes to dry and a full grown man walked out of the men's room towards the exit(of the driver's area side of the place) wearing Elmo jammie pants and slippers...not flip-flops, but adult slippers. What has this industry turned in to...for the love of God...have some self respect.

I couldn’t agree more, since when did it become socially acceptable to wear that stuff in public? I’ve seen drivers wear that stuff while checking in at shipper/receivers, and they wonder why they aren’t treated professionally.
