Thoughts? Anything like Old Dominion (Linehaul) but with Sleepers or should I buy/lease truck?

Looking to make a move to a permanent home this year. Ideal is:

    • $90k+
    • Solo, no Team
    • Sleeper
    • Pet policy (large behaved dog)
    • Rider policy
    • No strict uniforms (I'll wear a tuxedo if you want, but I get to pick it out)
    • 5 on, 2 off (option for 6)
    • Prefer working weekends
    • Drop and Hook, no Dock Work
    • Van or Tanker, no Flatbed or Tarping (unless preloaded)
    • West Coast mostly, Seattle-Sacramento-LA-Vegas ideal, trips east on occasion
One of us went over to Old Dominion last year, likes it. Making just over $100k, mostly 5 days a week, home nights.

Sounds ideal, and I like doubles, but is day cab and I want sleeper space for pup, and would prefer some overnights.

Anything like that out there? Or do I probably need to go o/o to get my ideal? (I've looked into Estes, FedEx, UPS, R+L, Oak Harbor, Integrity, Wilson, Reddaway, ABF, and about two dozen other smaller units. Several are in the Old Dominion realm, but none ideal.)

My issue with o/o is I just want to keep it simple and running a small business is not the fun happy time many people think it is. I could put about 50k down with same in reserve for catastrophes, although a good lease might be preferable for me personally. (Not Lease Purchase as that seems to be only if can't afford down, but open to all advice.)

I don't think those LTL companies put solo drivers in their sleeper trucks.

Correct. As far as I can tell, the Sleepers are for Teams only.

Kind of been mulling it over for a few months. Hoping someone has some helpful advice to look into...or suggest a way to make o/o less of a headache?

Bulk matic out of hammond indiana was advertising line haul positions. Just haul the tanks from terminal to terminal drop and hook no loading or unloading. 90k+ out a couple weeks.

I responded to a simple little add in Craigslist. 22 truck company. For someone living where the terminal is. It’s close to what you want. Hauling loads out. Contracts with companies. Then brokered stuff back. Home about once a week for 34. It’s dry van. Lots of miles. Intelligent life forms welcome. Newer trucks.

Wow, thanks, location doesn't work for me, but good to see a good fit exists somewhere.

Thanks, I didn't consider trying Craigslist for anything serious like a job, but it is full of offers I see. Full of scams too so have to filter.

By the way, I Googled "22 Truck Company" for awhile before realizing you meant a small company with only 22 trucks and not a company with that name.
