Hi, im a Owner Op, my own Authority 8 years, have a CDL 15 years, i just signed up here, hope this is in the correct forum, im planning on renting a Tractor from a friend who is currently out of trucking to run some loads into California, my CA # is also current & updated if i need to move a load within CA, the 2290 is Not current so i will pay & i will have a current inspection on the truck, I will report IFTA, my apportioned plate & insurance will be on the truck, any info is appreciated, My Question's are - if i get inspected by D.O.T. - to be compliant - is there any correct type of vehicle rental agreement i need ? my Company detail's will be on the side of truck - the owner has taken his Company detail's off already, also i need to speak to my insurance agent as my current truck will Not be used while i have the rental truck but FMCSA want insurance to be on it ? Thank You for the help.
