The Brake Gremlins were out playing in the rain. Then they hid in the bushes and laughed.

I’ll make one recommendation if you use the hammer to the drum option.
Especially with your truck being parked on a hill make sure you chock the wheels or at best you will find your self lying on your back watching your truck go bye bye or at worst you end up being the wheel chock.
Neither scenario is quite pleasant. -
Rideandrepair, Flat Earth Trucker, Scarecrow4180 and 1 other person Thank this.

I think I'm fat enough I would make a good wheel chock
Rideandrepair and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
Mine do that sometimes after driving in snow or rain. I park in a heated shop.
If it won’t go forward readily, I find just putting it in reverse and moving backwards just a few inches is enough for the brakes to release. I can hear them popping free doing that.jamespmack, Accidental Trucker, homeskillet and 2 others Thank this. -
Anytime I crawl under a truck it's in gear, wheels chocked & the keys are pulled. Cause this one time....was throwing iron on a hill and snowpacked. Truck started to slide from the snow melting under the tires. It's something I never want to experience again.
homeskillet, InTooDeep, No Exit and 5 others Thank this.
