Happy 4th everyone !
Got home yesterday afternoon and had a nice time playing with the jd mowing and grilling ..back to work Wednesday.
Ac on in the garage now watering my sunflowers.
Made a discovery with the jd tho ...I never owned a vertical shaft briggs before ..only Kohlers which the oil was checked without screwing in the dipstick and I did the same with this briggs 14 hp but It would puff blue smoke here and there and otherwise ran perfectly.
So last night I dropped the oil and refilled it to the full mark with the dipstick screwed in ...no more blue smoke so I think I had it overfilled.
More freight coming to the omaha area , a group of cattle feeders is breaking ground next year on a beef kill near council bluffs that will slaughter 1500 head a day ..not sure if it is a prime kill plant or choice kill ? .JoeyJunk, Shock Therapy, 4mer trucker and 8 others Thank this. -
Lets see...
Dispatch calls, I need you to be the first one in to new cisromer, it sounds like it may be a PITA place.... okay.
Up at midnight to make front of 7-10 window.
Get to yard and don't have regular set of keys with me, they are in the vehicle I normally dive, which is in the garage, so I can't unlock to padlock on my tool box for fittings... looks like I will be stopping at a truckstop and paying thru the nose for a cheap set of bolt cutters.
Pick up trailer, seals on BOL don't match seals on trailer. An hour lost on phone and getting new BOL printed up.
Stop at T/A, no bolt cutters. Stop at J, no bolt cutters. Stop at Loves, no bolt cutters. Guess I'll be lifting up on the side without the padlock and hoping I can squeeze my arm in for what I will need.
Get to customer, have an extreme brain damage moment, blow about 100 pounds of barley out the back of the trailer all over everything.... Good first impression successful ! Notify dispatch and everyone else, get a good talking to on the phone from the mother ship, with retraining to come now, at a minimum, if not worse. Spend the 2 hours unloading and another 1 on top of it cleaning the place up.
Get popped for 6 over on a state route ln Wisconsin and statie hits me with a level 1 on the side of the road for good measure, because I'm not behind enough already.
Can someone please have a 12 pack for me, I'm to ####ing tired to drink it myself.JoeyJunk, austinmike, Dale thompson and 5 others Thank this.
