On the average assume an all aluminum 48x102 will weigh 9500 and youre pretty close, specced out 5 different trailers and everyone was pretty close, +/- 500 lbs

Depending on fuel and scale, I'm 30,800 to 32,500 with a side kit. 8 chains, 12 binders 4' steel and 8' lumber. 10 coil racks and 12 4' beveled. 6 3" ratchet strap. Light, my tractor is around 19,000.

    48' Reitenour. Does that help?

My tractor and the 45' steel trailer weights 35420 LB. My tractor is double framed. Also it has walking arms with leafspring on the rear. I was wandering if a aluminum 48' is lighter than a 45' steel trailer?

...as others mentioned - not significantly , in your case 500lbs wont make a difference

    Ever weigh em seperate?
If you dont give details on what your 45 steel weighs, how can we know if its lighter?

No ive never weigh separately. Peterbilt say my tractor weights 20000lb. And the tag under dash say 20000LB.

Reason im asking is because with 45' steel trailer with a 47000lb load puts me at 82420lb. Im wondering if the aluminum 48' is at least about 3000lb lighter.

Cant trust that. Thats curb weight.

All equipment stacked where youll store it, weigh both together full of fuel, drop trailer reweigh truck, cost 15$/15 minutes but youll have a much clearer idea of things. As it stands knowing exactly what my trailer weighs to the lb i cant tell you anything about what your empty weight will be with it because theres nothing to go on
