    1. Do not lease or buy a truck unless you have at least one year experience as a company driver.
    2. Be careful with how you hold the steering wheel. Grip loosely, but firmly enough to keep the wheel in control, and move your hands around regularly. Put a steering wheel cover on the wheel, maybe even one with padding, and be careful not to grip the wheel too tightly for too long. You can wear grooves in your finger tendons, making clenching your fists painful or even difficult.

When IPO stocks become available for Google, Apple, bitcoin and Microsoft, buy as much as possible. "F" trucking.

I would have stayed in sales or management, a friend of mine used to bring in JB Hunt recruiting stuff he had received in the mail to work. On our downtime we'd talk about how we would upgrade to 'big bucks in big trucks' and be some big time truckers. I'd go back to that point and slap the hell out of both of us, then show them my futuristic pocket computer phone videos of how it really is. PURE BS, money isn't everything when you lose out on lots of other things.

I didn't go to JB Hunt originally but after about 5 years of company hopping most new drivers do I did finally drive that canary yellow JB Cab Over in HTown for a few months until the next company had .02 cpm higher pay offer or sign on bonus.

    Pay yourself first

Set aside a minimum of %10 of ALL the $ that you take in as yours and yours ONLY.
Save save save and then save some more. Before you know it , it won’t matter to you what everyone else is doing and what is happening to the world you will be wealthy , when your wealthy it don’t matter.

I've heard this song many times. I had no idea that's what the lyrics were. In other words, don't marry a high-maintenance #####.

That song along with this one are two of my favorites. Might also be why I am still never married!

Trucking is relatively easy to get into, compared to some other Trades. Unless you’re stuck on Trucking, it’s never too late to change Careers. One thing about being young, there’s usually a lot more choices than you may think. Might be good for a while, and if you save a little along the way, you’ll have choices later, if you decide it’s time for a change. Choices equal freedom. Choosing to work at any job, is better than having to work at it.
