Yes, they will be back....but not for long. DOT is on them now, and good. Lotsa good reading on them, all over the net.

Yeah after that last audit they got slammed hard! That's why Charlie made the drivers log it legal!

The problem was the drivers and shop were not getting paid on time, no money on fuel cards and that's embarrassing as hello to go in after pumping in 150 gallons to find the card doesn't have enough to cover the fuel! You actually feel like a shoplifter!

Then there were the solo drivers that wind up sitting for a few days and then going and doing several produce picks and maybe making SLC before having to swap with a team for either an MT or a pissant short haul and do it all over again!

Yes Charlie "Might" be back but you have to realize that he's in his late 70's and just "might" give it up! He was doing most of the parts buying and picking them up so they didn't pay delivery charges! He would also buy the cheapest crap he could and had Randy the shop foreman using parts sitting around in boxes for replacements until they fell apart! Thank God I drove Randys truck as he kept it up and running like a scalded dog and if something broke he fixed it!

As for the audit the DOT can still come in and do it and if there are any fines they can confiscate trucks, trailers and buildings in lieu of monetary payments! Not that his POS trucks, traailers and buildings are worth that much! LOL

If NRF does come back as a new entity like Allow Me said I wouldn't be surprised. "new, new, really new, rising very high, Phoenix.":biggrin_2559:

I just saw an ad that they were hiring drivers... I told a friend who is having a hard time getting hired, he is just out of school with no experience... The ad sai they wanted experienced drivers... I did't see that until after I told him and gave him the number to call... So I am glad that he has no exprience and won' get hired by them...

But, if they are closing or have closed why would they advertise for drivers... The ad was only 2 days old.

I don't know... I found it on a trucker job board... I was only writing down info from ads posted in the last couple of days...
Then I saw this thread... I will see if I can find it again.

Their web site is still up but the job boards will be about the last thing on their mind right now! Besides they didn't hire students unless they changed it after August 09!
