Denver to Craig, CO

    I'll have 40k in the box. From I-70 looks like I can either go CO 9 north from Silverthorne to US 40, or CO 13 north from Rifle. What do y'all think?

    Well, pal, I'll tell you one thing, don't trust a straight line on a map, the road actually being straight. I've been on 13 out of Rifle, seemed like a good road. Mountains are pretty much behind you by then.

    70 to 13 is longer but shorter drive time wise.

    Taking 13 was my first choice - looks like I'll go with that.

    Haven't driven 13 in several years, they finally widened part of it, but deer, lots of deer, lots of mine traffic, there are a couple of different mineral mines off 13 between Meeker and Rifle
