6669 miles on this brand new truck and this……..

Got empty in City of Industry, went over to Walnut to reload, wound up getting detention on my delivery side then on my pickup side. Left the shipper and 15 miles down the 60 freeway, boom, something gave out on the DPF side, smoke came billowing out, a loud rattling followed then it shut down. Spent 5 hours waiting for all this to get worked out with Breakdown. Was finally towed with the trailer to the Knight yard in Fontana at 3am. The dealer is right down the street so now I’m waiting for the tow truck to get back and tow this inoperable class 8 vehicle to the shop. I have hometime starting Monday followed by a weeks vacation, which is out the window for the time being. There was already rumblings from my new DM about getting me picked up. That was immediately put to rest with a resounding NO! I told him I’m not leaving 1 iota of my belongings in this truck while I merrily traverse the countryside. Worse case scenario I stay in a motel and if it’s going to be longer, I’ll Uber my keister to the nearby Ontario airport and fly home. Then fly back when the truck is ready.
