POSITION SUMMARY:
The over the road (OTR) truck driver is a CDL-qualified position responsible for the transportation of all classes of machinery, parts, engines including over-sized and overweight loads and other cargo associated with the daily operation of the company utilizing vehicles with multiple axle configurations.

PAY: $22.00-$26.00 per hour, DOE.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May include but are not limited to the ability to:
· Haul (or willing to haul) overweight, over-dimension, and super loads both locally and over the road (training provided if no experience)
· Understand axle weight distribution and adjust accordingly
· Knowledge of weight and road restrictions pertaining to tractor/trailer combinations and heavy equipment
· Plan routes, monitor road conditions, and prepare for delays if necessary
· Complete job tickets, timecards, and paperwork accurately and promptly
· Secures required customer signatures on all shipping documents to include rental and sale contracts and load sheets
· Ensure contents are properly secured to prevent damage/injury using straps, chains, covers, etc.
· Develop and maintain an organized and efficient loading and unloading system
· Maintain electronic logs in accordance with FMCSA/DOT Rules & Regulations
· Conducts daily Driver Vehicle Inspections required by FMCSA/DOT
· Work closely with coworkers, managers, customers, and crews; keeping a professional and safe environment for all
· Maintain accurate reporting of all expenses and receipts associated with the day to day use of company credit cards and fuels cards
· Report all incidents, injuries, and/or accidents immediately to supervisor or Safety Director
· Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance to transport equipment to ensure vehicle is in safe operating condition and ready for next-day business to include fueling and pre-loading whenever possible
· Inspects all machinery and equipment for damage at time of pick up documenting findings and submit damage information to sales and/or service personnel as necessary
· Wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, FR clothing and hard hat.
· Work both indoors and outdoors during all seasons/months of the year
· Complete and keep current all training and certificates as required by Borsheim Crane Service, LLC, Federal Agencies, and our Customers.
· Participate in Safety meetings and training.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Class A CDL (required) accompanied with a clean driving record (preferred)
· Must have a current DOT medical card
· Must pass a background check and DOT pre-employment drug screen
· Flexible schedule, able to work overtime and weekends as needed
· Knowledge of and ability to pull flatbed and step deck trailers
· Willing to learn how to pull RGN and double drop (lowboy) trailers
· Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience (required).
- Heavy haul experience preferred, but will train.
