A man committed suicide by crawling beneath a semi truck stopped at a red light in St. Louis over the weekend.
The incident happened on Saturday, June 26th at around 5 p.m.
According to STL Today, a semi truck was stopped at a red light at the Lafayette Avenue and South Seventh Street intersection when a man snuck behind the rig and crawled beneath the rear axles in an apparent suicide attempt.
Police say that the truck driver was unaware the man had situated himself beneath the rig and inadvertently ran over the man when the light turned green. Police also say that the rig did not stop, likely because the driver did not realize what had happened.
Wonder what he thought that bump was.....maybe the guy was very skinny.

Why would you criticize the driver with your last sentence for not stopping to inspect a bump? One set of dual wheels on my truck weighs 12 thousand pounds 80 percent of the day. Have you any idea what that would do to the human body if it runs over it? There’s no way in hell a driver is gonna stop and inspect for something like that. A small pot hole would be felt more. So would you stop every time you let off the clutch and felt a small bump when you slip the clutch when the light turns green? I think not.

I have ran over a couple deer that went right under my trailer and i didnt feel anything. Ive also been hit in the back of my trailer at about 90 miles an hour by a 4 wheeler and if i didnt see it in the mirrors i wouldnt of known anything happened. Theres no way that driver wouldve felt anything was wrong.
