This just started as I was pulling in a rest area tonight so I kept driving around and noticed it sounded pretty loud. Sounds like it's coming from the front end. Hubs look good and brakes don't look too bad so not sure what it is. It makes a rubbing sound at really low speeds and pops when turning. Almost sounds like a dry 5th wheel but I just greased the 5th wheel yesterday. Obviously taking it to a shop is best bet but just looking to see if any of you guys have any ideas what it could be. I'm not the most experienced driver. Been out here for about 2 years so still a lot to learn. It's a 2012 volvo 670

Check your steering linkage, Lug nuts, tie rods, ect for loosening.

Most likely dry or worn spring pins/bushings. Thorough front end inspection by a qualified individual should find the problem in short order.
clausland and rollin coal Thank this. -
Yeah. Spring shackles have some slack in them. They can be shimmed up. Spring is on one side of the pin, and without the correct shims, there is room between the Spring eye and shackle.
Make a turn, especially when loaded, and it slides over, popping pretty loud.DUNE-T Thanks this. -
Worn or dry spring bushings or dry kingpins.
Grease is cheaper than partsRegen Again? Thanks this. -
