If you've purchased used in last 2 years:
    1) Where'd you purchase?
    2) What did you purchase

I must ask... why? The vehicle, the service, the people, all above?

All the above. Go look at my main thread where ive been updateing as i go as a journal for prospective new O/Os to see some of the real world problems and you will see the laundry list of issues ive had. Since i got it i had to spend over 55k in repairs just to get it functional, And yes i include tows in my repair bills they are a part of the repair bill as much as the actual parts and labor. There was also a TON of hidden covered up damage and EVIDENCE (not proof) of a odometer roll back at some point.

I saw some gauge clusters for sale and started wondering about odometer reliability in used truck. I guess you would need complete maintenance records. I use to have a gsxr750 and it was simple to swith out the guage for one with lower niles.

Did you have a thorough inspection including dyno done before making the purchase?

I was wondering that too. Is the above a typical experience?

I’m looking at a 2019 Coronado. 148k miles apu from new. Gonna look at it next week and dive in for further review. It’s on hold for me. Driver moved into a tri axle. Sooo maybe it might work out

Yep. Get a dyno with blow by test run. Oil analysis on all the fluids. Full ECM dump so you can see things like mileage and idle percentage. Then if all of that looks good, get a trusted mechanic to go over it with a critical eye. Yes it costs you money and you may have to do it more than once until you find a truck you feel comfortable buying. But in the long run it's money well spent.

    JonJon78 and I3IGBIRD26 Thank this.
