When one has been banned the user profile says "not available". When they hide it, it says something like "not allowed to view" or something close to those.

Try clicking on their name and viewing their profile. Tho you will probably need to message an admin privately to know what the resaon for their leaving. Just dont be surprised if you get the generic answer of "They were too caustic for the forum" or "They chose not to follow the rules". These answers are common with out going into detail of why a member of the group leaves.

Serves him right, not legal to have alcohol n the cab of a commercial vehicle. Back to dont answer the knock on the door and keep the doors locked.

It's only wrong if the driver is off duty. 392.5 (3) is clear about even having it in your possession while on duty or operating.

    (3) Be on duty or operate a commercial motor vehicle while the driver possesses wine of not less than one-half of one per centum of alcohol by volume, beer as defined in 26 U.S.C. 5052(a), of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, or distilled spirits as defined in section 5002(a)(8), of such Code. However, this does not apply to possession of wine, beer, or distilled spirits which are:
    (i) Manifested and transported as part of a shipment; or
(ii) Possessed or used by bus passengers.

This is a common mistake made by some drivers. When off duty you are free to have any form of alcohol you desire in the truck. Once you go on duty and get on the road having alcohol in the cab is PROHIBITED!

Look a bit down that page and you see this bit of information. 392.5 (c)

    (c) Any driver who is found to be in violation of the provisons of paragraph (a) or (b) of this section shall be placed out-of-service immediately for a period of 24 hours.
    (1) The 24-hour out-of-service period will commence upon issuance of an out-of-service order.
    (2) No driver shall violate the terms of an out-of-service order issued under this section.

I know several drivers over the years that had this happen to them. I would hate to be that driver calling their safety dept informing them of this OOS order!

Oh by the way, GMRS requires a FCC License, about 70 bucks I believe.
